Artist Bio & Statement:
Canadian; B. 1975
Jeanne is a full-time, self-taught artist currently residing in Kamloops, BC. After many, many moves across B.C., Jeanne and her family settled in Kamloops in 2010. She has called many places home over the years, from the Lower Mainland to the Northern B.C. town of Kitimat. Jeanne is pleased to have settled in Kamloops and is inspired by the beauty of her surroundings.
Jeanne works with a variety of mediums, including acrylics, inks, charcoal, watercolors, and mixed media. She currently prefers mixed media because it allows her to explore a broad range of textures by incorporating elements such as pumice, fibers, sand, and resin into her paintings.
Jeanne's portfolio includes a wide variety of styles because she enjoys having the freedom to express herself without restriction. It is integral to her process to liberally explore and experiment with ideas and materials.
Jeanne's work can be found in private and corporate collections throughout Canada.
